The One That Explained It All

What do you guys think of a ARMA II video, its basically my first *attempt* at surviving the basic tutorial... and failing.

Im currently about 1/2 to 3/4 ways through, depending upon how long you guys want it (atm im approximating at around 6-7mins) and im guessin it should be out by about friday, altough i do have a couple of deadlines to meet before that so we'll see if i can make it by then. But atm, its lookin pretty damn good, much better than my L4D2 video which, if im honest, im still not really that happy with :S

Ive decided upon a font to use in my videos, for the near future, anyway...
(no, not Arial.. you know who you are), which may not seem like much, but for someone like me whose genuinely trying to break out from, lets be honest, a pretty large crowd, a definitive and unique font type that can be easily associated with a certain channel, can make all the difference... trust me.

As for my editing software, while id really love to get comfortable with Adobe After Effects, unfortunately, for the time being, there's still a great leap from Sony Vegas 10 (which I'm currently using), which is quickly showing its weaknesses when applying it to some of my more ambitious projects, which iv been working on in the background.

So yeah, just hold tight, not too long till I get into a nice little regular release of videos, which was my original desire. And while there not quite the most original videos out there, which trust, will change in change in due time, they sure will be coming thick and fast soon enough...

The guilty pleasures of TheSpaceEvader

This is what us Brits have been listening to as of late. Yeh, i know, kinda man-crushing on him atm:

Now onto business, i know, i know, i haven't uploaded uploaded anything in a couple of weeks now, which by youtube's standards means i might as well be dead as far as their concerned...

BUT FEAR NOT!!!

Im not really dead, well... not last time i checked anyway, I've just been under a mountain of work recently. Obviously, these vid's come second place when it comes to my A-levels, but that's not to say I haven't been working on this little bugger, NO! I've been working tirelessly for literally minutes to make sure I do actually finish this video, which, btw, is slowly bringing me to tears of boredom, so you lovely guys can experience it in all its heavily edited glory!

But what is this video, TheSpaceEvader?
You may ask yourselves, well i'm sorry, but youll just have to wait, you handsome devils.

In addition to this, iv also been dedicated my personal collection of blood, sweat and tears on a swanky new intro for you guys to gaze in awe at. While it didn't prove quite as easy as I initially thought, its now almost finished, meaning it should be ready for this next video!!!

You guys may have also noticed that iv put up another video since my last post:

From an editing standpoint this is my best video so far, (not hard when you only have two videos up), but its also my most un-original. Not to name names, but it does follow a similar style to another youtuber as Im sure you guys agree. Not that this is a bad way by any means, but this is not what I aimed for when i started out on this little project of mine.

NO! 

I want to be original, and copying the formula of someone else's work (even if it is becoming a bit stale) is the easy option, something that i want to avoid. I created this project to see if i could test myself, to see if I could push myself, not stay at a same point whenever I find myself a little intimidated by a challenge and a couple of negative comments. So in short, no, i will not be doing many more videos of this style, (minus the exception to the rule, for those that actually ask for this sort of video) but otherwise, I will be constantly changing my videos.

also, what do you guys think of this new YouTube interface? Personally Im loving it, from a designer point of view, but absolutely hating it from a youtuber point of view, as this now means i have to completly re-do my wallpaper, while Im at it, any suggestions for a new background?

The First of Many

As promised, what you've all been waiting for... EXACTLY THE SAME VIDEO!!!
That being said, I have changed quite a bit (not to mention my personal favourite: Higher Resolution!!!). And don't worry; I'll be planning on maintaining this level of quality in all future videos, and who knows, maybe I'll even make the jump to the big 1080p one day. 


After several various rendering issues (and more than one complete computer failure), all in all taking just under two months to successfully render, encode and finally upload... and iv gotta admit, I'll be glad to move onto my next vid :P

But for now, why don't we look a look at this shiny new video, it sure as hell took long enough...

The Beginning

Heya Guys.


Well, this is quite special really, my first post (hopefully the first of many), iv got to admit i expected more confetti and fireworks, but this'll have to do for now...




Now, onto business:
As you may, or may not, have noticed, other than my initial video, i haven't really been uploading all that many videos. The reason for this is.... drum roll please...
I'm re-editing and uploading all planned videos in glorious 720p Resolution. And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you, my little, poorly edited, friend; you're getting a glossy new lick of paint as well:

Now while i realise it isn't exactly mind blowing news, it does mean that you'll all be able to view all future videos, plus already uploaded videos, in 16:9 aspect ratio (or widescreen, to you less tech savvy out there).


I've also got a whole host of different videos planned for the not-too-distant-future. But lets not overload you're little minds just yet...

But for now, lets just live in the moment, iv got lots of more to show you guys, and this is only the beginning...
